Li-Cycle Expands Industry Affiliations in North America
Dear Followers and Subscribers,
This Earth Week, in recognition that keeping our planet clean is a joint effort, Li-Cycle is pleased to announce its growing industry affiliations that will aid in continuing to build on Li-Cycle’s mission and vision to accelerate the development and recycling/resource recovery of used lithium-ion batteries. Li-Cycle has joined three industry associations, including the Responsible Battery Coalition (RBC), CALSTART and the Ontario Clean Technology Industry Association (OCTIA) over the past months.
In brief, RBC is a leading coalition of companies, academics and organizations dedicated to the responsible management and environmental sustainability of all types of batteries. CALSTART is a non-profit organization that works with its member companies to accelerate the adoption of clean transportation across the globe. Finally, OCTIA is the industry champion for Ontario’s Cleantech sector.
In advance of Earth Day, Li-Cycle wants to re-emphasize its commitment to continually growing our existing commercially operating base of resource recovery facilities in North America and worldwide, leading the transformation of lithium-ion batteries into a circular and sustainable product. “As rechargeable lithium-ion batteries continue to electrify our world in all parts of life – from vehicles to consumer devices – Li-Cycle works collectively with these industry leading organizations to contribute to the best practices for a sustainable battery value chain,” said Ajay Kochhar, President and CEO, Li-Cycle.
Thank you very much for your continued support and interest. Our team looks forward to providing further updates as Li-Cycle continues to scale and contribute to a sustainable future globally.
Yours sincerely,
Ajay Kochhar
