Women in Cleantech & Sustainability memberships gifted to Li-Cycle team for International Women’s Day 2021

Li-Cycle celebrated International Women’s Day by providing employees with a membership to Women in Cleantech & Sustainability (WCS). A nonprofit, global organization made up of almost 3,000 professionals, WCS fosters an influential network to promote the roles of women in growing the green economy and making a positive impact on the environment.

International Women’s Day (IWD), marked annually on March 8^th, is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The 2021 campaign theme was ‘Choose to Challenge’. A challenged world is an alert world, and from challenge comes change. Collectively, by choosing to challenge gender bias and inequality – and by celebrating women’s achievements – we can all help to create an inclusive world.

The WCS membership extended to Li-Cycle employees gives those who identify as female complete access to all Women in Cleantech & Sustainability events and webinars, as well as virtual networking opportunities and access to the WCS Mentorship Program.

On International Women’s Day – and every day – Li-Cycle honours the remarkable women on its team and around the world. The day itself day marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality, and this WCS membership is just another way that Li-Cycle is saying “Yes!” to the growth of women in the sustainability space.
