Li-Cycle Recognized by S&P Global Platts for its Outstanding Performance and Achievements
Company Selected as 2021 S&P Global Platts Global Metals Awards Finalist

TORONTO, Ontario (June 16, 2021) – Li-Cycle Corp. (“Li-Cycle” or “the Company”), an industry leader in lithium-ion battery resource recovery and the leading lithium-ion battery recycler in North America, today announced that it has been named a finalist in the S&P Global Platts Global Metals Awards, an annual program that recognizes exemplary accomplishments in 16 performance categories. Some 113 finalists have been selected from 21 countries for the ninth annual S&P Global Platts Global Metals Awards hosted by S&P Global Platts, the leading independent provider of information and benchmark prices for the commodities and energy markets.
Li-Cycle has been disrupting the lithium-ion battery industry utilizing its cutting edge Spoke & Hub Technologies™ to extract valuable materials from end-of-life lithium-ion batteries and battery production waste, recirculating them back into the global economics. Due to its impressive recent performance and achievements, S&P Global Platts has recognized the Company as a finalist in the Scrap and Recycling Category.
