Leading Li-ion Recycling Company Li-Cycle Names Wilson Ma VP of Corporate Development

ONTARIO, CANADA. JANUARY 27, 2021 – Li-Cycle Corp. (Li-Cycle), North America’s largest lithium-ion battery recycling company, today announced the appointment of Wilson Ma to the role of Vice President (VP) of Corporate Development. Mr. Ma will spearhead Li-Cycle’s efforts to scale the recovery of lithium-ion resources globally, while leading other strategic initiatives.

Ma, a proven leader in strengthening and stimulating business growth, brings expertise with him that spans strategic planning, venture acceleration, process engineering, project management, and teaching. He will report directly into Ajay Kochhar, co-founder and CEO of Li-Cycle, to help deliver long-term sustainable growth in the clean energy sector.

Prior to joining Li-Cycle, Mr. Ma built a highly proficient team and embedded a broad base of capabilities to grow Emerson Electric Co.’s business in Canada as its Director of Growth & Business Transformation. Notable accomplishments include leading customer innovation and co-creation partnerships, expanding into subscription-based service models, and driving growth across the cold chain.

Ma, who earned an MBA from the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management, also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
