Why is the facility needed?
Lithium-ion batteries are increasingly powering our world in automotive, industrial, utility, residential energy storage, and consumer electronics. Since 2010, the demand for lithium-ion batteries has grown by more than 500 percent. The world and our environment needs technology to recycle these batteries and ensure a sustainable future for our planet.
What is in a lithium-ion battery and where might I find it in my day-to-day life?
A lithium-ion battery is a type of rechargeable battery that employs lithium ions for its power. Lithium-ion batteries are everywhere in your everyday life — cell phones, laptops, power tools, scooters, e-bikes, transit buses, passenger vehicles, and many more common devices.
What do facility operations look like?
