France Spoke.
OUR FACILITY
The France Spoke is expected to use Li-Cycle’s ‘Generation 3’ technology to process full EV battery packs without discharging or disassembly.
Li-Cycle’s Spoke recycling process uses a submerged shredding method that does not require the dismantling or discharging of batteries and reduces the risk of a thermal event. The plans for the France Spokes have been paused and the timing is being re-evaluated as part of Li-Cycle’s go-forward strategy.
About the project.
The France Spoke is strategically located in “Battery Valley,” an area noted for its high concentration of global automotive OEMs and battery gigafactories in Harnes in the Hauts-de-France region.
