Canada’s Clean50 Awards are announced annually by Delta Management Group and the Clean50 organization to recognize those 50 individuals or teams, from 16 different categories, who have done the most to advance the causes of sustainability and clean capitalism in Canada over the past 2 years.
Honourees are chosen from over 700 nominees from 16 diverse categories. Li-Cycle and Ajay Kochhar competed in the Research and Development category. Ajay was recognized as one of Canada’s Clean 50, and by being the top-ranked honouree in the Research and Development category, Ajay Kochhar is a member of the Clean16.
This recognition is further independent validation that Li-Cycle’s business and technology are key elements of the growing international movement towards zero carbon technologies as part of the circular economy.
On October 3, 2019, Ajay Kochhar was amongst the 120 past and incoming Honourees attending Canada’s Clean50 Summit 9.0 in Toronto. The complete Clean50 list is available here, including a brief description of all honourees.
The Energy Innovator Awards identifies and recognizes businesses and professionals operating in the field of power generation, transport and distribution, who have made the greatest contribution towards reducing carbon emissions.
The Canada’s Clean50 Awards program and Summit were founded in 2011 by Delta Management Group in June 2011 and have been awarded in September each year since. Selection is made primarily by Delta Management, but with significant assistance from a team of exceptional third party advisors, and is based on detailed submissions by nominees who wish to be considered, based on their impacts as measurable in Canada.
Delta’s commitment to sustainability is three tiered: carbon neutral, helping clients build outstanding teams that can move the needle, including greatly reduced fees for ENGOs, as well as ongoing support and stewardship of the Clean50 Awards.
Delta created and now stewards the Clean50 Awards program, to bring together senior executives, solutions-oriented leaders and sustainability practitioners from across a broad spectrum of interests and abilities and expertise, to build trust between them and foster enhanced collaboration – and share the inspiration these special people can offer all of us.
