TORONTO, Ontario – Li-Cycle Holdings Corp. (NYSE: LICY) (“Li-Cycle” or “the Company”), an industry leader in lithium-ion battery resource recovery and the leading lithium-ion battery recycler in North America, today announced that it has been named  Global Cleantech 100 Graduate of the Year by the Cleantech Group.

In 2020, Li-Cycle was chosen out of 14 thousand innovative companies for its dedication toward a sustainable future and was named a Global Cleantech 100 Company by the Cleantech Group. Since then, the Company has made significant progress by scaling its economically and environmentally sustainable lithium-ion battery recycling technologies. In recognition of its accomplishments and promising future outlook as a public company, the Cleantech Group has named Li-Cycle the Graduate of the Year for 2022 in the Resources & Environment category. This award is given to the most impressive exits of a Global Cleantech 100 alumnus company (i.e., one that has been on any of the Global Cleantech 100 lists published since 2009) – in the eyes of the investors on the Global Cleantech 100 Expert Panel.

The list combines Cleantech Group’s research data with qualitative judgements from nominations and insight from a global 86-member expert panel of leading investors and executives from corporations and industrials active in technology and innovation scouting.
